Who we are
CarbonMinus is an IIM-C Innovation Park incubated startup in the Green Energy field, aiming to facilitate mass adoption of Affordable, Reliable and Clean Energy by utilising idle yet available infrastructure (rooftop). We aim to reach every energy user (Household, commercial, Industrial, & Institutional) by means of technology & innovative financial instruments.
What makes us Different
We aim to take hassle free green energy to every energy user. While enterprises are focusing on utility scale renewable power plants, distributed power generation is still largely neglected. Of India’s cumulative solar installations of 41 GW, only 5.4 GW constitutes rooftop solar. In the first quarter of 2021, India added 2,056 MW of solar installations, of which only 307 MW was from rooftop solar, and the C&I segment contributed to 78% of these installations.
We aim to bridge this gap, while continuing the current pace of adoption to solar power.
